We are breeders of the Presa Canario also known as the Dogo Canario - the home and family protection dog of the Canary Island decent. We hope in these pages to introduce you to the Presa Canario if you don't yet know him, and to maintain your interest in him if you do.
With Presa Canario's, just as much as with all other breeds of dog, attention must be paid to careful selection and stringent testing of breeding animals, in order to ensure the production of healthy and high quality puppies.
Our Presa Mission
Our mission at Tightline Kennel is to refine and improve the Presa
Canario breed of dog; to maintain the highest standards of breeding
stock selection by eliminating dogs from the program which possess
serious genetically transmitted defects such as hip dysplasia, vaginal
prolapsed, etc. and to accomplish this we utilizing the widest possible
gene pool through cooperation and interaction with other reputable and
responsible breeders. Also, to maintain the integrity of the Canary
Island name and identity of the Presa breed, and furthermore, to
compile, maintain and preserve records of the lineage and ancestry
details of thoroughbred Canary Island Presa Canario. Finally, to achieve
these goals we preserve the well-being, health, and above all, happiness
of the Presa's themselves as an absolute over-riding priority that
supersedes all others. Tightline Kennel will at all times apply these principles in considering the future prospects o
f puppies offered
for sale, and no sale will be entered into if we are not fully satisfied
that the pup's future well-being is assured.
Our Presa Guarantee
At Tightline kennel we offer a 2 year guarantee on any genetic health, hip dysplasia and temperament defects. Pet quality puppies come with a 2 year guarantee on defects relating to their quality of life only and no breed rights. In the event the problem arises, you will be required to provide proof of health problem and proof of the dogs’ alteration. Upon submission of this proof, we will give a puppy of equal or greater value on the next available litter.
